Bio poems

 Kia Ora readers!

At the star of term one, our artwork we created was our Bio Poems.

First, we had to draw some patterns on paper using white crayons. I drew some swirls to make it look like tie-die. Then after that, we painted the paper with multiple colours so we were able to  see the white crayon. After, we wrote some things about us including, 3 words that described you, what you dream of, and so much more. Then, we published the writing on our chromebooks then prnted them out. The teachers took a photo of us after and then we  printed that picture of us out. After that, we glued the picture of us and the words that described us on the painted sheet of paper.                                                                            

Anzac day-reading create

 Hi readers!

  We had to complete to 3/5 tasks about the topic, " ANZAC day". I was able to complete more than that and completed 4/5 tasks.

WALT:  summarise information about a topic in a meaningful way. My first task I completed was the flag for ANZAC day. It was very fun and interesting designing the ANZAC flag, I replaced the cross on the normal Aussie and NZ flag for a poppy, and added 6 red stars to the right.  My second task was the acrostic poem. I wrte the acrostic poem for, ODE OF REMEMBRANCE. I think it was really good because I wrote a sentence for each word instead of just one word. Third, my diary entry. We had to write a diary entry in the perspective of a soldier in the war. The last task I did was the information report about ANZAC day. I added lots  important info about ANZAC day including what ANZAC stands for, why it's named that, and much more.

Wolfs-reading create

 Hi readers!

WALT: Summarise imformation to identifying the key words in the text.

Last week we were working on information reports, so we had to choose some books about animals.

I chose a book about wolfs because i thought it would be cool to read something about an animal that I dont know that much about.

I have created a  slideshow with a venn diagram and a quiz about wolfs. It includes some things about the leaders of the pack, the alphas,  and some things about the baby wolfs pups, and much more.

The day the crayonss quit-reading create

 Hi Everyone!

WALT: Make connections between what we know and the authors message as we read.

This Week we were working in diffferent partners than last week and my buddy was Kieran.

This week we had to complete these tasks based on the story, THE DAY THE CRAYONS QUIT

We completed 4/5 tasks. First, the new wrapper for peach crayon, second the letter back to a crayon pretending your Duncan, third the kahoot about the day the crayons quit and fourth, the trailer for the day the crayons quit.

Wacky Wednesday- reading create

 Hi everyone!

This week we had to complete these tasks based on the story by Dr Suess, WACKY WEDNESDAY.

Austin and I completed 4/5 tasks.

First, the acrostic poem [A acrostic poem is a word that is spelt on the side and you try to think of some words that start with the letter thats spelt on the side], second, the wacky animal, third, the aleteration poem  [ a aleteration poem is a poem that starts with the same letter at the begining in each word

e.g.  Peter Piper picked a pepper from the pepper gardan],

and fourth, the wacky classroom with twenty wacky things in it. Lets see if you can find them!

Reading Create - Space Buggy

 Hi everyone!
This week we had to make a space buggy for our planets we had created. My planets name was Ice kream, and the reason why i named it Ice Kream because it looked like a ice cream. 
This buggy I have created has a drill to get samples, levatating wheels, a 1 metre camera and a microphone to be able to taalk to the living ice creams on the planet.
WALT: reorganize information to gain an understanding of the text.
